Presentation Title:The Key Role and Multifunctional Modifications of Niobium in All-Solid-State Battery Electrolytes
Abstract(200-300 words):
Niobium (Nb), renowned for its outstanding chemical stability, tunable high ionic conductivity, and structural compatibility, plays a pivotal role in solid electrolyte materials for all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs). This report focuses on the critical applications of niobium-based materials-such as Nb2O5 doped solid electrolytes and niobium-doped lithium superionic conductors (e.g., LLZO)-in enhancing ionic conductivity, interfacial stability, and dendrite suppression. Through doping modifications or composite structural designs (e.g., integrating niobium oxides with sulfide/oxide electrolytes), lithium-ion transport pathways can be significantly optimized while reducing interfacial resistance. Additionally, the regulation of niobium elements in improving the interfacial compatibility with high-voltage cathode materials (e.g., nickel-rich layered oxides and olivine-type phosphates) is a key research focus, contributing to higher energy density and extended cycle life in ASSBs. The presentation will integrate the latest experimental data and theoretical calculations to explore optimization strategies for niobium-based electrolytes, fabrication challenges, and future development directions, providing scientific insights and technical references for the advancement of high-safety, long-life all-solid-state batteries.
